You will enter the house through enormous, custom-made sliding French doors that lead into the spacious and bright living room. An original stained glass panel funnels colored light onto the cocktail corner. Here, a retro drinks cabinet filled with all the necessary accouterments for parties sits next to a soaring, modern Italian light that dangles above a white leather Barcelona chair. This area invites you to either relax with a drink or with a book or play on the floor with your children while enjoying the view of the pool and the lush outdoors. To your right is a cozy hang-out corner, where big blue couches and sumptuous embroidered pillows make it the perfect spot to watch the flat screen TV or sit and chat. All the furniture is newly purchased, and presents an eclectic mix of modern and vintage. Throughout the house the pine and bamboo flooring has been stripped and restored to its full, gleaming splendor. Every room has its own ceiling fan, making air conditioning optional if you prefer fresh ocean winds.

Master Suite

Here you will find a unique and modern take on the bedroom suite that captures all the old world charm of this cottage while giving it the feel of a five-star hotel room. This loft-like master bedroom on the second floor is so lovely and private, you may not want to leave to go to the beach or the many restaurants just minutes away. Sink into the huge King-sized bed and enjoy premium cable TV on the wall-mounted monitor. Open the French doors that lead to a second floor porch and take an outside shower while watching the setting sun through the green palm fronds. Alternately, you can enjoy an indoor shower in the marble-encased glass stall, or bathe in the huge bath tub. A WC in its own little room provides privacy and allows light (and cross breezes) from the two side windows to reach across the room. A large desk area tucked under the eave makes space for quiet, uninterrupted work. Wireless internet is available throughout the house.

Bonus Room

Duck into a small hallway off the Master Suite and you will find a Bonus Room hidden up here with 2 Twin mattresses. For those families with babies, toddlers or young children, they can enjoy this comfy and pristine sleeping nook for two. This secret area is both charming and functional: the turquoise light from the pool just below bounces off the ceiling, and, looking out the row of windows you can gaze at the ocean just a few hundred feet down the road.

Guest Bedrooms

There are two bedrooms on the ground floor. A guest room with two twin beds and a crisp turquoise, black and white color scheme is compact and inviting. Huge French doors lead to an expansive side deck. A half bath is just off the living room area.

The second bedroom has a queen-sized bed, its own television, and a full bath with shower and wall-sized mirror. You will be surrounded by soothing white, but for a landscape painting punching up the color. Also, French doors lead outside to the deck, offering the opportunity to sleep in a comfortable, cooling breeze, if you so choose.

Laundry

A separate laundry room with brand new appliances makes having fresh laundry at all times easy as pie.

Kitchen

In many ways, the kitchen is the heart of this inviting home. Everything from the rustic Spanish tiles on the floor to the big French doors and huge windows make this spacious room attractive and bright. A huge, blue-tiled island allows the chef to prepare masterpieces while chatting with friends and family at the country-style dining table that comfortably holds eight people. Or, you may cook using the brand new appliances while still conversing with friends and family in the living room or cocktail area: the open floor plan can accommodate both privacy and communal living.
