Our place was spotless and very clean. The location is perfect, just a couple houses away from Duval where all the action is. Our hosts did everything they could to provide us with brochures of restaurants and things to see.

We travel to KW 3-4 times per year and this is our first time trying an ABnB. The location is very convenient to Duval and right around the corner from one of our favorite restaurants, Martin's. The drawback is becuase it is on Truman, it is very noisey in the morning. The traffic starts very early, 6AM. This includes delivery trucks, buses and scooters passing by. Also the garbage truck comes at 5:30AM and these guys are not quiet when dragging the garbage cans to the truck. Other than that, if your a sound sleeper you'll find the property great. We loved the space we had which was the front upper floor. Very clean, great kitchen, bar, living area and porch to relax. Overall we loved the ABnB experience and are staying at another one next month when we return, albeit in a quieter location.

We had a fantastic 4 day stay to celebrate our 30th anniversary! A few things have changed since we spent the first week of our honeymoon in Key West. But some things are just the same--great sun, fantastic food, amazing sunsets and always a special time. The unit was great with everything we needed. The unit is modern, with a comfortable bed, well equipped kitchen, washer and dryer and convenient to all the things in town. We rented bikes to get around and highly recommend you do the same. Cars and golf carts need to be parked and the island is very easily navigated day and night from a bike. The team at the rental agency was fantastic and welcoming. They arranged for the delivery and pick-up of the bikes and provided input for other excursions and restaurants.

Very clean and tight rental. Loved having full sized washer and dryer! Everything was perfect. Perfect for a couple. Loved the location-between Duval and Whitehead streets. We walked and rode our bicycles everywhere we wanted to go (Ubered in from airport and they had bicycles tethered to our porch when we arrived). Only con was trash truck picking up hotel dumpster early in the morning. Truman street is a busy north-south street in Key West. But we got to do a lot of people watching from the top balcony so we considered this a small inconvenience. We will definitely stay here again! Thank you HKWVR for making our stay so relaxing and enjoyable!!

We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay in Key West. Staying on the east side of the island was great because it's walking distance to so many great restaurants. It's also walkable to all the popular nightlife without having to hear the noise while you sleep. The property was very well marinated and spacious. We didn't have a car, but there was always a place to park if you choose to have a car. The rental company was great to work with and provided so much helpful information and recommendations from the time we booked. They arranged bike rentals for us (which I highly recommend) and had them waiting at the property for us when we arrived. We're already trying to plan our next trip back. Highly recommend!

My husband and I stayed at the Bess Truman Suite to celebrate our postponed honeymoon! We had a great experience! The suite was clean and cute and had everything we needed. I loved the historic charm of the house and the location could not be beat! Steps from
Duval St. and central to most everything on the island.
Our concierge, Cindy was super helpful and sweet! She sent us a TON of information right after we booked and helped us make all our reservations for dinner and activities during the week!
Overall it was a great trip to Key West! We would definitely book with HKWR again. Thank you!

Location, location, location! We were right in the middle of everything! Walking to Duval, Ernest Hemingway home, the southernmost point, and many great restaurants! The staff was absolutely wonderful- giving us maps and coupons. And Cindy, their concierge, was very knowledgeable and responsive! She helped us pick an amazing sunset cruise! We learned quickly that parking is always an issue in key west, and when our rental parking was full (bc it is first come first serve) the staff was very helpful in giving us tips on where to look nearby! This is a gem- will definitely be staying here again!

We had wonderful week-long stay in the Bess Truman Suite. We loved the rocking chairs on the porch. The bed was really comfortable. We especially liked its location, about 150 feet from Duval Street.

Very enjoyable stay in Key West. No need for a car as location is ideally located for walking and bike riding. We rented bikes for the week and left them locked under the stairs for ready access to anywhere on the island. Zac Taylor State Park is a hidden gem where my wife was able to join a daily yoga on the beach class that was a lovely start to each day. Would happily return to both Key West and the Bess Truman Suite.

The suite was as beautiful as the pictures. Beautiful full size kitchen, big shower, washer and dryer available. The location is half a block from Duvall and almost centered on the strip. A few minute walk to the southernmost point. There is great food eateries located close by. Far enough away from the night scene to not be disturbed when turning in early but still close enough for a few minute walk.

The Bess Truman suite was exactly as described on the website! The location was perfect. Although parking is an issue, once we found a spot we were able to leave our car for our entire stay and walk anyplace we wanted to go. The suite is nicely appointed and very, very comfortable.

The condo was truly lovely and so comfortable. The spaces were all spotless. The kitchen was beautiful and very well equipped which we really appreciate since we like to cook in. The bathroom was all modern and luxurious. Location was convenient to walk virtually anywhere in town. Would definitely book here on our next trip!

We rented the Bess Truman Suite for a week in mid-June. Upon arriving at KW airport, I texted Danny to see where he preferred to meet. He met us at the rental which was very convenient for us. He explained everything about the rental, even gave us recommendations for dinner and informed us of the pools open to the public. The check-in process was very quick and simple. The rental was very clean, up to date, and it had everything we needed. The bed was very comfortable and the shower was great. One of our favorite aspects was sitting on the front porch and people-watching. This was in a great location with respect to Duval St, the Hemingway house, and the southern most point. It was a very convenient walk to CVS, many restaurants and galleries. Historic KW Vacation Rentals has great customer service and the staff was very helpful with anything we needed. Danny was an absolute pleasure to work with. We will definitely use Historic Vacation Rentals the next time we visit KW!

My daughter and I spent a wonderful week together for her college spring break. We were happy to be in this condo an awesome location.

We chose the Bess Truman Suite due to its location and amenities for our 5 night stay. It had everything we needed was clean and for the most part we really enjoyed our stay there. The only downfalls were that the parking deal was very misleading. THERE IS NO DESIGNATED PARKING! It is pretty much first come first serve and if you do get a place you do not move your car. The only other issue was that we went the first part of March which is apparently Spring Break and we had about 15 college students right next to us on the side we slept, so it was noisy during all hours or the early morning. Other than that we had an awesome time. We went to South of the Border, Butterfly exhibit, the lighthouse, Hemingway house, Glass boat tour, enjoyed a ferry ride over to the island and had a great dinner at Latitudes!

The property was exactly as described on the website. The location is as close to Duval St as you can get without being on it. It is incredibly clean and well stocked with all the necessities. It is hard to beat a day that starts on a balcony watching Key West go by. This is our second time renting through Historic Key West Vacation Rentals LLC. Both time were truly a pleasure. Will rent with this company again.

Loved the property and loved the location. Everything was easy to get to and within walking distance. We didn't need a motor vehicle to get anywhere. Highly recommend this property.

We booked the Bess Suite (F2) for a week in May. The apartment was very nice and was perfect for a week stay (or longer). You cannot beat the location! One of the best perks! The only recommendations I would make are updates to the bedroom window treatments (to block sunlight) and the parking (but I am not sure what could be done about that). However, it would be nice if there was a limit of one car per guest as multiple cars per guest of the Truman Suites made it difficult to find available parking. Luckily, we walked 95% of the time we were in Key West, so we didn't have to fight for parking everyday. We will definitely be back next May!!

This place was great. Very well maintained and had everything we needed for a great stay. Highly recommended.

Pros: The unit was clean and furnishings were in good shape. WiFi was hi speed Xfinity. Kitchen was furnished with basic cooking pots, pans, knifes, utensils, etc. but if you are a gourmet cook bring your favorite, must have tools. Water out of the tap was better than the gallon of water we bought at the store.
Cons: Bedroom abuts Truman Avenue which has a fair amount of traffic at night. Not bad until a scooter or motorcycle goes by. We travel with ear plugs which took care of the problem. The shades in the bedroom let in a lot of light. We travel with goggles so it was a non issue.
Worth Mentioning: The house had been pressure washed the day before our arrival which tripped the GFI and circuit breaker leaving the bedroom without power. The electrician came out the next day to replace the GFI. Property Manager was very communicative throughout the process and even took care of our breakfast one day.

The bess suite was in pristine condition. The couches were comfortable as well as the bed. The kitchen seems brand new. If you are planning on cooking, bring your own supplies. There are none. We dealt with Danny and he was the definition of great customer service. Great location to go anywhere in key west.

Stayed for 5 days. Phil was great and communicative. We stayed at The Truman Suites in the Bess room beautiful and clean. All updated. We hope to stay here again soon!

Great clean great location great price. Most of all GREAT OUTSTANDING PEOPLE TO WORK WITH. PHIL IS GREAT. I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE.

The rental is a beautifully remodeled 2nd floor apartment in an older house on Truman Street, a half block south of Duval. There is a nice porch on the front of the house overlooking the street with all the sights and sounds of Key West.

Everything was wonderful, the only 2 items I would say could use improvement was the bed and the lighting over the bathroom sink.

Bess Suite was beautiful and clean. It was so nice to come back, after a long day of walking the island, to rocking chairs on the front porch. You can't beat a breezy Key West evening. The rental office/concierge was excellent. They told us to store their number in our phone so we could call them for anything. The few times we did, the calls were answered immediately. I love that kind of service. My only problem was the location. I wanted to try an area I've never stayed in. That being said, if u want to be close to South Beach and the Butterfly Conservatory, Bess Suite is a great place to stay.

This property is clean and well-appointed with everything you need, but this properties main plus is also its only slight negative, the house is on Truman right off of Duval so it’s close to everything which is awesome but there is a price, the traffic noise in the morning can be a bit loud, however if you spend a little extra time on Duval the night before you won’t hear a thing in the morning. This is a great rental property we would recommend to anyone wanting to be right in the action of Key West.

Unfortunately, the rental is on Route 1 and can be very noisy in the day time:
Lots of trucks, motorcycles and tourist trolleys. It was hard to enjoy the wonderful porch from about 8:30 am till 4pm. Night time noise was not a problem. Other than that, the condo is perfect.

Couldn't ask for a nicer place, better location or better management group. Beautifully appointed and well maintained. Very comfortable.

Thoroughly enjoyed our time in Key West.. largely because our centrally located house was walking distance to everything, and very clean. The concierge Phil provided with lots of info about things to do which we put to good use.

We had a good experience at Bess Suite 2F. The location is perfect. Rent bikes just a block away. There are 4 units but only 3 parking spots alongside the house, so it could theoretically be musical chairs. You are given a sign to put in your car window. We only used our car only once while were there. I would find it tight for 2 couples. The appliances are new. No disposal in sink. No DVD player. The washer/dryer is a big plus. Front gate has a keypad, so you can bring in your bikes off the street. We were awakened each am by a rooster crowing, but that is the case in all of Key West and part of the local color. Very pleased overall.
