Welcome Back to Key West

Historic Key West Vacation Rentals

We are looking forward to welcoming guests to Key West. We want you to know we are doing our part in preventing the spread of COVID-19 in our community and workplace. To ensure your safety while visiting our island, please take a minute to review the information below outlining the precautions we are taking to keep everyone safe.

Our homes are being sanitized in accordance with CDC guidelines and regulations put forth by the state of Florida and Monroe County, to ensure your health and safety. We are allowing adequate time between check out of the previous guest and check-in of the next guest for appropriate cleaning and sanitation. All surfaces in the property are cleaned and disinfected between each guest stay. All linens, dishware, and other service items available for use by guests have been washed and sanitized between each guest stay. Extra linens including throw blankets and decorative pillows have been removed and stored until further notice.

As our valued guest, here's what you should expect upon arrival to Key West and during your stay:

  • If you’re feeling unwell, please stay home, call your physician and get advice. You have the personal responsibility to protect yourself and others in terms of public health.
  • At both Key West International Airport and Florida Keys Marathon International Airport, health screenings remain in place for passengers traveling on nonstop flights from designated COVID-19 hotspot states, per the Florida governor’s executive order. Each person screened is required to isolate or quarantine for a period of 14 days or the duration of that person’s stay in the county, whichever is shorter.
  • Bring facial coverings, hand sanitizer, reef-safe sunscreen and personal essential medicines.
  • Throughout the Florida Keys, officials are requiring facial coverings to be worn in business establishments and other public settings where under any roofed area, including an outdoor tiki restaurant/bar. They are also required to be worn outdoors in the Florida Keys when social distancing of six feet or more is not possible. In Key West, masks are required everywhere outside a residence, regardless of whether social distancing is maintained.

Centers for Disease Control protective protocols:

  • Wearing a face covering does not eliminate the need for social distancing and proper hand hygiene.
  • Frequently wash hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. Carry and use hand sanitizer with at least a 60 percent alcohol base if soap and water are not available.
  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth.
  • Cover your cough or sneeze with your elbow or a tissue and properly dispose of the tissue as well as face mask, gloves and other protective apparel.
  • Stay hydrated and well-rested, especially during warm summer months in the Florida Keys.
  • Avoid socializing in large groups. Maximize physical distance from others, particularly in closed environments, maintaining at least 6 feet between people. COVID-19 is most transmissible indoors under close, sustained contact.
  • Couples getting married are exempt when they are exchanging vows and posing for wedding photos from having to wear face masks.
  • The exemption also extends to musicians and entertainers, as long as they are separated from patrons and employees by at least ten feet and separated with a hard-surface partition.
  • An individual who suffers from a previously diagnosed chronic medical condition that would be affected by wearing a mask may be exempt with proper documentation.
  • Everyone over the age of six is required to wear a mask when they leave their residence.
