THE PROPERTY: Horse Conch is a Key West hidden gem in perhaps the best location you could imagine. The one-bedroom vacation rental is nestled in the heart of Old Town Key West (just 2 short blocks from Duval Street). You’ll love being within walking distance of everything you’ll want to experience during your tropical vacation.
Horse Conch is part of the highly touted "Queen Conch" complex, which includes 3 separate rentable units — Sea Conch, Rooster Conch, and Horse Conch. You can rent each unit or book the entire Queen Conch vacation rental compound for ultimate privacy on your Key West vacation.
Horse Conch is located upstairs on the second floor and can be accessed by the stairway on the side of the building, which leads up to the shared balcony and the entrances to Horse Conch and Rooster Conch.
Horse Conch includes a shared, covered balcony which overlooks the sparkling pool and courtyard area. The inside of the unit offers adorable Key West decor throughout with colorful furnishings. The open concept living room includes a flat screen TV, queen-size pullout sleeper sofa, and plenty of seating for you and your guests. The dining table seats 4 and rests under hanging track lighting fixtures.
The kitchen comes fully equipped and offers all the amenities of home, including a fridge, freezer, stove, oven, dishwasher, microwave, coffeemaker, and plenty of cabinet space.
BED CONFIGURATION: The bedroom comes with its very own super quiet split-unit AC system, ceiling fans, a comfy queen-size bed, bedside lighting, a closet with full length mirrored doors, and an en suite bathroom. (Note: Horse Conch has no TV in the bedroom.) The bathroom includes a large walk-in shower and is decorated with works from local artists.
The shared washer/dryer is located in a shed on the left side of the home near the pool.
OUTDOOR AMENITIES: The complex boasts a breathtaking tropical outdoor area with a pool that is shared by guests. The pool is heated seasonally (November through April) for an additional fee which will be assessed at the time of booking.
PARKING: Please be aware that Horse Conch offers street parking only. Street parking is free, but may be limited.
LOCATION: A majority of the best Key West attractions are located nearby, as well as numerous restaurants, shops and galleries. The neighborhood boasts historic homes, shotgun and conch-style homes.
NEARBY: Grab morning coffee down the street from local Key West favorites such at Cuban Coffee Queen, Starbucks, and 5 Brothers Coffee. Go for lunch and drinks at world-famous restaurants and bars like Caroline’s Cafe, Fogarty's, Blue Heaven, Irish Kevin's and Sloppy Joe's. All of these all located within a 10-minute walk!
PETS: This home is NOT pet friendly. (If you have pets, please browse through our many homes that allow pets.)

We just wanted to let you know what a positive experience we had renting at Horse Conch in Key West through your agency. From start to finish, the process was exceptional, all the great information that you sent and the home was exactly what we had hoped for and we look forward to returning again soon! In the past we have stayed in hotels when we visited the Keys but we especially enjoyed the full kitchen and the swimming pool was one of our favorite features! Everyone that stayed in the adjoining units was very friendly and we couldn't have asked for a better getaway! We will be dreaming of our cup of tea on the back porch of Horse Conch until warm weather reaches us in PA!

Horse Conch has everything you cld need on a visit to the Keys. Location is perfect, kitchen is fully equipped, pool area is lovely and the amazing women at rental office were very helpful with any question we had.

Everyone at Historic Key West Rentals has been Superb. Great communication before & during our stay. Friendly and Professional. The Horse Conch was perfect for our stay. Clean, comfortable & close to all the action, but secluded with a tropical backyard and a beautiful pool. Highly recommended!!!

From check in to check out, Staff were vey welcoming and helpful. It was a perfect location to all the main attractions. we rented a bike for the week and this was perfect for all locations on the island. The pool area was very well maintained . The unit was very clean and well kept. The only suggestions I have for this place is an updated bed and a tv for the bedroom. My husband and I definitely enjoyed our stay and can’t wait for our next visit to Key West!

We are so happy we went with and booked through Historic Key West Vacation Rentals. The Horse Conch apartment was the perfect spot for our honeymoon! We were close to Duval Street where all the fun is AND it has an almost private pool. The apartment was beautifully furnished and provided everything we needed for a week stay. Cindy Carter who works in the office, was SO hospitable and made our stay even better. She helped to schedule amazing activities with Fury Water Adventures and a seaplane trip to Dry Tortugas. I've shared this place with at least 3 people planning their trip to Key West. This place and experience is worth it! We will use Historic Key West Vacation Rentals again!!!

Horse Conch was the best location for our 4 days in Key West. We walked or biked anywhere we wanted to go all week. It is on a fairly quiet street 1.5 blocks off Duval St. The pool shared with he 2 other units was a dream come true and heated to a perfect temp for late January. The property company was easy to work with and responsive to any questions. They also have a concierge on staff who booked our bike rental for the week and a seaplane adventure. It was so easy, and both were top quality!

We love this place! It was like going home - we used to stay here when it was a Guest House back in the 90’s! The rooms are comfortable and nicely appointed. The pool is HUGE and with only 3 units in the building, there was a lot of alone time around it! The staff at Historic Key West Vacation Rentals was ON IT! It turns out that the mattress was in bad shape and with one phone call we had a brand new mattress the next day! We also suggested lights along a side walkway to the house and once again, the next day they were installed. Kudos for sure! The location is perfect - a little more than a block off of Duval which made it very convenient to get to all the excitement BUT far enough that the property was still very quiet. We would definitely stay here again! Peace

The location is perfect! Quiet but close enough to anything you need and want to see. The pool was the highlight of the property and we spent most afternoons in it. Very clean. No bugs. The bed leave a bit to be desired but we still slept pretty well and got the rest we needed for a relaxing vacation.

Our time in Key West was perfect. The apartment was in a great location and had everything we needed to be comfortable during our stay. The pool was wonderful especially during spots of rain. Parking was a bit of a nightmare given how close to Duval street the unit is, however, pro tip, we rented a scooter from sunshine scooters and they allowed us to keep our rental car at their lot no extra charge, and there is plenty of scooter parking outside the front of the rental property. Overall, the unit was in good shape and we only had one minor issue with an A/C unit during our stay, and a maintenance team along with the property manager arrived within an hour to assist us. We look forward to staying in the future and would recommend this unit.

There were three of us staying in Horse Conch. The place was great. We used the pool on a daily basis. Location was perfect, quiet enough yet a 5 minute bike ride to (almost) everything. Can not wait to go back!!
